As we look back at the best of 2025, the year’s collection of albums on vinyl have become a treasure trove of 2025’s most essential sounds. From major pop milestones to indie breakthroughs and high-end reissues, here is our guide to the standout albums of 2025.

1). Taylor Swift - The Life of a Showgirl

Tay Tay surprised her Swifties not only with her engagement to NFL Superstar, Travis Kelce, but with an incredible new album. The album vinyl release came out with plenty of variants and with hits like ‘The Fate of Ophelia’, ‘Opalite’, and ‘Elizabeth Taylor’ it was a sure hit this makes our Top 10 best of 2025.

2). FKA twigs – EUSEXUA

FKA twigs returned in 2025 with a project that redefined the dancefloor. Known for her visual artistry, her limited edition vinyl pressings on Recordstore—often featuring exclusive artwork—have been highly sought after. It’s an album that sounds as good as it looks on a shelf.

3). The Last Dinner Party – From The Pyre

Following their massive debut, The Last Dinner Party’s From The Pyre arrived as an Exclusive. The "Dusk Edition" vinyl, with its moody, atmospheric colouring, is the perfect example of why this shop is a go-to for collectors: they offer versions you simply cannot find anywhere else.

4). Chase Atlantic – LOST IN HEAVEN

Chase Atlantic dominated the charts and the "Best of 2025" lists with LOST IN HEAVEN. Recordstore featured several exclusive colorways, including a stunning Pink & Clear vinyl and an Opaque edition. For fans of high-energy, genre-blending production, this was the definitive physical release of the year.

5). Olivia Dean - The Art of Loving

Multi-BRIT Award, GRAMMY and Mercury Prize nominee Olivia Dean returned with her long-awaited sophomore album, 'The Art Of Loving', produced alongside Zach Nahome. A tender, intentional exploration of love in all its forms — romantic, platonic, self-reflective and everything in between — the album includes the singles “Nice To Each Other,” “Man I Need” and “So Easy (To Fall In Love).” We absolutely fell in love with this album and we think you should too so it's on our Top 10 list.

6). Wicked (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

The Wicked movie was a cultural phenomenon in 2025, and the soundtrack—featuring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande—is a standout in the gift shop. Whether it’s the "Wicked Green" 20th Anniversary vinyl or the gorgeous Picture Disc editions, these are perfect gifts for musical theatre lovers.

7). Sam Fender – People Watching

Sam Fender’s 2025 release remained among the biggest physical sellers of the year. His ability to capture the British spirit on limited edition wax makes his albums a staple of the "Best of the Year" collection. As well as being honoured as the 2025 Mercury Prize winner, There is no doubt why he is on our list.

8). Lily Allen – West End Girl

Lily Allen returns with West End Girl, her long-awaited 5th studio album. Written and recorded over an intense 10-day period, blending raw honesty with infectious pop craftsmanship, documenting elements of her time in New York with piercing clarity and insight. It was highly anticipated and received so much revelation to her as an artist. With such vulnerability in her album, this one makes it into our Top 10 best of 2025.

9). Hayley Williams – Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party

These songs come as the third batch of work released from Williams as a solo artist. The COVID-era saw her release two extraordinary albums - 2020’s Petals For Armor and 2021’s Flowers for Vases. Both albums were gorgeous and stark meditations on loss and offered up a contrast to the high-energy and up-tempo muscle she displays in Paramore. And this record is nothing short of what we were expecting which is why it makes our list!

10). Lorde – Virgin

Co-produced by Lorde and Jim-E Stack, with contributions from Devonte Hynes (Blood Orange), Dan Nigro, Fabiana Palladino, Buddy Ross, and Andrew Aged, Virgin is the sound of Lorde returning to the beat-driven and raw lyricism that propelled Pure Heroine and Melodrama to commercial and critical success. Preceded by lead single ‘What Was That’ (which peaked at #1 on the US Spotify Chart), Virgin marks the return of a truly generational artist and hits hard in our best of 2025 albums!

These are our staff picks, however, there were many more incredible albums released in 2025. Honourable mention to Lola Young's 'I'm Only F**king Myself', Lady Gaga's 'MAYHEM', HAIM's 'I Quit', Sigrid's 'There's Always More That I Could Say', and Dave's 'The Boy Who Played the Harp'
