Lainey Wilson is an American country singer-songwriter from Baskin, Louisiana. Bursting onto the scene in 2020 with “Things a Man Oughta Know,” she quickly became a breakout star. Her 2022 album Bell Bottom Country won Best Country Album at the Grammys, and her 2024 follow-up, Whirlwind, debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 and won Album of the Year at the ACM Awards. In 2025, she embarked on her first world tour and released a deluxe edition of Whirlwind, featuring the single “Somewhere Over Laredo” .
