Irmin Schmidt from the legendary German avant-garde rock group Can & Kumo are playing a rare UK date at the Jazz Cafe in London on 9th December 2008, their first since the release of the latest album, Axolotl Eyes.

The album marks a return to the extended improvisation followed by the editing methods pioneered by Can and is accompanied by a 5.1 surround sound DVD of the sound installation Flies, Guys and Choirs, first conceived for London's Barbican Centre in 2001.

Axolotl Eyes and the 5.1 surround sound DVD Flies, Guys and Choirs are available as a 2 disc release and separately from 8th December 2008.
