Chappell Roan

Chappell Roan is an American singer-songwriter known for her theatrical pop sound and bold queer identity. Born Kayleigh Rose Amstutz on 19 February 1998 in Willard, Missouri, she began her music career by posting covers on YouTube before signing with Atlantic Records at 17. After being dropped by the label in 2020, she embraced independence, releasing the EP School Nights and the single "Pink Pony Club". Her debut album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess (2023), topped charts in the UK, Ireland, and New Zealand, and featured hits like "Good Luck, Babe!" and "Hot to Go!". In 2025, she made a notable shift into country music with "The Giver", debuting at number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Known for her drag-inspired aesthetic and unapologetic lyrics, Roan has become a prominent figure in pop music, celebrated for her authenticity and artistic vision.
