Glory Of The King's Hand: Smoke Vinyl Lp
$37.99
Release date: 2 October, 2026
Chuck Strangers's latest, Glory Of The King's Hand, represents a matured, self-assured attitude and an emphasis on songcraft. “I made a lot of conscious [musical] decisions," says the heavy-tongued griot from East Flatbush, Brooklyn. “I really tried to make better songs that people might want to hear again.” To accomplish this, Chuck chose to be a producer in the Quincy Jones sense, bringing together vocalists, producers, and musicians. The results are astounding. Take for instance, “Breaking Atoms,” a track built on the improvisations of production trio/band Human Error Club. A hypnotic Fender-Rhodes and headnod-inducing drums perfectly complement Chuck and billy woods’ vivid verses followed by Zeroh’s psychedelic vocals.
The list of contributing producers is a who’s who of sound scientists including The Alchemist, Animoss, Theravada, Kenny Segal, Preservation, and Child Actor. And while Glory … is a cross-section of the underground in 2026, what Chuck brings to the table is uniquely Chuck Strangers.
