Ian Broudie found short-lived success in multiple bands, from experimenting with punk in Big in Japan to penning and recording new wave tracks for Care. His band Lightning Seeds gave him success, football made him a legend.

Together with comedians and Fantasy Football League presenters David Baddiel and Frank Skinner, they released their 1996 single ‘Three Lions’ to mark the England football team’s participation in that year’s UEFA European Championship.

In 2022, The Lightning Seeds released a new album in 13 years with the record ‘See You In The Stars’, which saw them embark on their biggest tour in ten years across the UK late last year.
